As a child, I enjoyed Chuck E. Cheese. Specifically, I liked playing in the tubes and the ball pit. Those two things captured my full imagination and stimulated my senses.
As a pre-teen, I enjoyed Chuck E. Cheese. Specifically, I liked playing games, earning tickets, and turning them in for prizes. I didn’t care much for the ball pit or tubes anymore.
As a teen, I enjoyed Chuck E. Cheese. Specifically, I liked playing the arcade games and beating levels. I was enthralled. I didn’t care much for tickets or prizes anymore.
And now?
Now, I enjoy making art, walks, reading, friendships, and working on my business. Those things capture my full imagination and stimulate my senses. I don’t care much for Chuck E. Cheese anymore.
It’s OK if the way we have fun evolves, but we better make sure we’re still having fun.
